September 2000 to Present: Land Use Manger, Development Services, Clark County
Direct and supervise the Urban Team responsible for review of land development proposals in urban Clark County area. Develop planning team approach to plan review and problem solving. Manage implementation of community outreach program. Develop section’s work program, supervise and promote staff development. Administer labor contracts and conduct staff evaluation. Develop and maintain interagency communication.
Spring 1994 to Present : Adjunct Professor, Portland State University , Portland , OR
Developed and taught courses in Public Administration; Urban Studies and Planning Departments; Currently associated with Black Studies and Economics Departments.
July 1993 to August 2000:Project Manager. Transportation Engineering and Development, Portland , OR .
In a leadership role, work with citizens and multiple bureau/outside agency representatives to develop and build public works projects to increase the quality of life in residential neighborhoods. Organize and chair traffic advisory committee meetings. Represent City at public meetings. Develop program policies. Provide construction oversight.
